Product Care Guide

Premium accessories are built to last. The right care routine keeps them performing and looking exceptional for years.

Leather Products

Applies to: Wrist Cuffs, Ankle Cuffs, Collar, Paddle, Crop, Flogger, Harness, Gloves

After Every Use

  • Wipe down with a clean, slightly damp cloth to remove surface oils and residue
  • Allow to air dry naturally — never use direct heat

Monthly Conditioning

  • Apply a small amount of leather conditioner with the included cloth
  • Work in circular motions — a little goes a long way
  • Allow to absorb for 10–15 minutes, then buff lightly
  • Conditioning prevents drying, cracking, and color fade

Storage

  • Store in the provided velvet pouch or in a breathable bag
  • Keep away from direct sunlight and extreme heat
  • Do not store in sealed plastic — leather needs to breathe

Steel & Metal Products

Applies to: Obsidian Steel Collar, Polished Chain Leash, Temperature Wand

  • Clean with mild soap and warm water after use
  • Dry thoroughly with a soft cloth — moisture causes surface marks
  • Polish occasionally with a stainless steel polishing cloth to maintain mirror finish
  • Store separately from leather to prevent marking
  • 316L stainless is highly corrosion resistant — no special treatment required

Velvet & Fabric Products

Applies to: Velvet Noir Blindfold, Storage Pouches

  • Spot clean with a small amount of mild detergent and cold water
  • Dab — do not rub — to avoid damaging the pile
  • Air dry flat — do not tumble dry or wring
  • Brush lightly with a soft clothing brush to restore pile after washing

Rope Products

Applies to: Satin Restraint Rope Set

  • Hand wash in cold water with mild detergent
  • Rinse thoroughly — detergent residue can irritate skin
  • Hang to dry — do not machine dry
  • Store loosely coiled, not tightly wound, to prevent permanent kinking

When to Replace

With proper care, Dark Fantasy accessories should last many years. Replace immediately if you notice:

  • Cracking or deep creasing in leather that does not respond to conditioning
  • Hardware that no longer functions correctly or shows structural weakness
  • Any fraying or structural damage to rope or straps
  • Surface rust or pitting on metal items
